Diego Angeles
A young creative writer passionate about cinematography, culture, traveling and outdoor adventures, Diego's dream is to publish a book in the fantasy genre.
Diego lives in Santo Domingo but his work with film and TV productions takes him to all corners of the Dominican Republic. Always on the lookout for new places to explore, he often travels to other Caribbean island and countries in South America.

Aura De Los Santos
Aura is a Clinical Psychologist with two master’s degrees in Education, focused on Higher Education and Research. Aura’s clinical practice is focused on depression, anxiety, and personal development. In addition, she writes articles about psychology, education, travel, and Dominican culture.
Aura is passionate about helping people. One of her goals is to teach others about the importance of mental health.
Omar Guzman
Omar Guzman is a Dominican-American creative writer, painter, and designer from Long Island, New York. He's spent most of his life in the Caribbean for its easy living, which has made him a skilled travel writer. Omar has a particular interest in stories about the region's history, culture, and nature.
Omar is passionate about arts in general and is a self-taught oil painter and sketch artist. He's always pushing the envelope on his work, an ethic he applies to every aspect of his life.
Emily Bauman
Emily Bauman is a contributing writer for Visit Dominican Republic. Born to Canadian parents who had a serious case of wanderlust, she was raised in Haiti from ages 7 to 17.
Traveling the island of Hispaniola, Emily learned how to speak creole, paint mermaids obsessively and that beach camping usually gives you sand flea bites that itch for 3 weeks.
Nora Perez
Born in a family of artists, Nora is a sculptor, painter, and travel writer based in Santo Domingo. Nora has marveled at the magnificent Michelangelo frescoes in the Sistine Chapel, the fountains of Rome, and handcrafted harlequins and Murano glass in Venice.
She is now the creator of the famous Nora faceless dolls. You can see Nora’s dolls in over a dozen gift shops in Santo Domingo, as well as select shops in Bavaro and La Romana.
